Time certainly does fly by... It has been now been 3 years since Singapore Airlines transferred their Manchester flights over from Boeing 777-300ERs to the Airbus A350-900s, whilst over 3 years saw the original stop-over flight to Singapore via Munich, instead with Manchester being a stop-over for non-stop flights to both Houston and Singapore. SQ51/52 remains 5 times weekly which doesn't operate on Monday and Thursday utilising standard international configured Airbus A350-900s. Since 2016 when Singapore Airlines took delivery of their first Airbus A350, the fleet now currently stands at 48 with 3 different configurations which are 3-class international (26 which excludes First Class), 2-class long-range (7 examples which do not feature Economy or First Class interiors) and 2-class regional (15 which excludes Premium Economy and First Class). The Airbus A350-900s have allowed Singapore Airlines to replace their Airbus A330-300s which are leased, whilst their Boeing 787-10 fleet have been in the process of retiring their much more ageing Boeing 777-200/200ER/300 fleet. Currently, Singapore Airlines operates 48 Airbus A350s, all of which are Airbus A350-900s. Singapore Airlines have 19 Airbus A350-900s on-order. Sierra Mike Tango is one of 48 Airbus A350-900s in service with Singapore Airlines, delivered new to the flag-carrier on 22nd December 2017 and she is powered by 2 Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines.
