This is a packhorse bridge taking the track from Brownber to Smardale across the Scandal Beck. Now a bridleway this was once a much more important route. The finger post marks the point where a footpath to Garshill runs off. Grade 11 listed. A nice resting place on the Coast to Coast Walk.View image on Flickr
